1. Polyester Resin

27th Apr.2016, PTA product index was 47.50, descended 53.32% comparing with the period high 101.75(22nd Sep. 2011) and rose 19.35% comparing with the period low 39.80(26th Aug.2015).(Remark:the period means since 1st Sep.2011 up to now)

Status and forecast: At present, PTA rose to 5200 RMB/T, NPG rose to 8500 RMB/T, IPA rose 6000 to 14000 RMB/T. As per the raw material continued to rise, the most domestic manufacturers have announced to rise the price of polyester in May, while the price of outdoor polyester will rise higher. As the price of the main raw material PTA continued to rise , the downstream manufacturers are not strongly to stock more goods. Which cause high stock pressure for the PTA manufacturers. So the PTA prices is not affected by the demand of support. The leading factors of PTA price is still the capital issue, PTA prices may rise inertia, but continuous rise is not sure.

2. Epoxy Resin

27th Apr. epoxy chloropropane product index was 52.14, descended 47.86% comparing with the period high 100(1st Sep.2011 ), rose 2.30% comparing with the period low 50.97(6th Mar.2016 )

Status and forecast: Because of the collapse of negotiations at the Doha conference, crude oil price fell 6%, and propylene price fell. Then the crude oil price recovered above $40 by the impact of Kuwait workers strike. The price of raw materials is relatively resilient, factories shipments without pressure. Epoxy resin in material weakness also fade. Terminal factories purchasing enthusiasm are flat, and their inventory is enough. There is no replenishment opportunity. Epichlorohydrin market is stalemate, cost pressures still exist. The epoxy resin lose the cost support for raw material fall. And the terminal market demand showed weakness, some of the terminal factories orders still not good, overall demand is limited. The price of epoxy resin will steady down.

3. Titanium dioxide

27th Apr. Titanium dioxide index was 56.57, descended 43.43% comparing with the period high 100(4th Sep.2011 ), rose 9.46% comparing with the period low 51.68(29th Dec.2015 ) (Remark:the period means since 1st Sep. 2011 up to now)

Status and forecast: In the late April, after the fourth wave of price rising , the fifth wave of price rising started. Leading by the Southwest market leader,  Shandong brothers rose price at the same time, in the range is 500-800 RMB/T. Goods holders carry out the market price with the old and the new price alternately, 40% with the old price and 60% with the new price. The price difference is the fourth rise, usually around 500 RMB/T. In fact, the supply of large enterprises is not tight. They control the limit of supply to create the atmosphere of tight supply to outside, preparing for the subsequent limit selling and price rising. And other top brand and better quality manufacturers are always facing tight source, not for the special limit. Hope those manufacturers don't stop production. At the same time, there are some goods holders are not  optimistic about the continuous rising. Without the support from the real market demand, the price of titanium dioxide is like the "castle in the air", not stable. Manufacturers’ tight supply mainly caused by more "transfer", too much overdraft for the future demand. After the purchasing stimulation effect, the market need to face that dealers and the terminal would take some time for  continuously digest inventory. This will directly cause the shrink of demand. The titanium dioxide industry is currently in the traditional consumption season, the domestic demand has improved, but the whole inventory for industry is not much, manufacturers’ shipping condition improved as per the market stimulation for the downstream procurement , .

4. Curing Agent

TGIC : the TGIC chlorine price will keep stable, may drop a little bit.

Tgic-free curing agent, after the rise in Q1, the price of the main raw material DMA and DEA is quite stable now and the HAA price will keep stable in the period.
